ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
England's players were asked a tricky question at their training camp ahead of two Euro 2025 qualifiers against France. Each Lioness had to decide whether they would rather know every language or be able to speak to animals. After Stanway admitted she would choose languages, specifically German, Ella Toone joked that it would be nice for her to finally be able to talk to her team-mates at Bayern Munich.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Despite Stanway clearly experiencing a language barrier in Germany, she has had no problem settling in at Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga side retained their crown earlier in the month by beating Bayer Leverkusen. There is no doubt that the players could understand each other during the celebrations just from the looks of excitement on their faces.

WHAT NEXT FOR STANWAY, TOONE AND ENGLAND?
The Lionesses are in action four times over the summer as they look to qualify for Euro 2025. England sit second in their group behind France but have the chance to overtake them in the standings with a win over their rivals at St James. Park tonight. Stanway, Toone and Co will then travel across the English Channel a few days later for a rematch.
